Avv. Prof. Mario Casellato
Mario Casellato was born in Rome on 18/11/1958 and graduated with honours in Law from the University of the Sapienza of Rome; he specialized in Criminal Law and Criminology at the two year specialization school at the University of the Sapienza of Rome.
He’s a criminal lawyer since 1986, and at the Supreme Court since 1998.
He is professor of “Corporate liability and Oganisational Models” at the University of Tuscia, Department of Economics.
He is professor of “D.Lvo 231/01 e Risk Management Models” at the University of Ferrara, Department of Economics.
He is teacher of “tax crimes and corporate responsability ex D.Lgs. 231/2001” at the University of Florence, post-graduation Criminal Tax Law course.
He was teacher at the Master’s Degree “CFO – Skills, Tools, Operations of the new Administration, Finance and Control Department”, University of Ferrara.
He was teacher at the Master’s Degree “CFO. Administration and Control Department”, University of Pisa.
He founded the Casellato Law Firm of Criminal Attorneys in 1989, located in Rome, piazza Farnese, 101, Italy.
He carries out judicial and extra-judicial professional assistance in favour of natural and juridical persons under both defensive and preventive profiles.
With regards to his judicial activity, he has been and is currently involved in trials of significant relevance and national interest about corporate crimes, libel perpetrated by the media, tax crimes, bankruptcy, urban planning and environmental crimes and crimes against Public Administration, malpractice and computer crimes. He is an expert on penal aspects of the pharmaceutical law.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the AODV 231 Association, the Association of Members of Surveillance Bodies pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001, as well as coordinator of the Roman Chapter (Central-Southern Italy) of the same Association.
He has taken part in drafting the Guidelines for the construction of Organisation, Management and Control Model pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/01 issued by Farmindustria - National Association of Pharmaceutical Industries.
He also has taken part in drafting the Guidelines for the development of models of organization, management and control of financial leasing and leasing in general pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/01 issued by Assilea - Italian Leasing Association .
He has taken part in reviewing the Guidelines of UNI ISO 37001:2016 for the prevention of corruption, CONFORMA, Milano, giugno 2018.
He contributed to the preparation of the volume Good manufacturing practices Guidelines AFI (Pharmaceutical Industry Association) for the relevant chapter The administrative responsibility of legal entities and companies - guidelines of the jurisprudence on Legislative Decree 231/2001, volume X edition, new techniques , Milan, 2014.
He has been and is currently consultant to several Supervisory Bodies (Decree 231/01), and consultant for the updating and maintenance of the organizational models under Decree 231/2001 towards major multinational and national companies as well as trade associations.
